Leisl was born and raised in Hamilton Ontario, Canada. She graduated from the Sheridan College Classical Animation program in 2002, and since then has worked as an animator and illustrator for many games, television and books. She is the creator of a webcomic called On The Edge, penciller for the Pixies graphic novel from Arcana Publishing, and is a founding member of the anthology website BentoComics.com.
