Audra Ann Furuichi

nemu*nemu

Hailing from sunny Honolulu, Hawaii, Audra Furuichi is the artist and co-creator of nemu*nemu (http://www.nemu-nemu.com), an original online webcomic that has been running since 2006. The duo are inspired by not only anime and manga, but Saturday morning cartoons, Sunday funnies, and a good dose of “small kid time” nostalgia.

Audra runs the show, publishing new comics tri-weekly while her husband, Scott, assists in the shadows. She currently draws the original comic strip, Blue Hawaii (http://www.nemu-nemu.com/gallery/east-oahu-sun-strips/) for the Honolulu Star-Advertiser. She is also a past recipient of the Charles M. Schulz Award for Excellence in College Cartooning for her previous work, CultureSHOCK! (http://www.nemu-nemu.com/gallery/culture-shock/)
