John Martz

John Martz is an award-winning cartoonist and illustrator in Toronto, Canada. He is the author of A Cat Named Tim and Other Stories (Koyama Press, 2014) , Destination X (Nobrow, 2013), and the wordless online comic strip Machine Gum. His comics and illustrations have appeared in MAD Magazine, The Globe & Mail, Maisonneuve, Canadian Notes & Queries, and kuš!. His work as the 2014 TD Summer Reading Club artist was seen in hundreds of libraries across Canada.

John Martz

John Martz is a Toronto illustrator and cartoonist. His illustrations and comics appear regularly in chickaDEE Magazine and The Globe & Mail. As part of the jam comics collective Team Society League, he contributed to The Big Team Society League Book of Answers from Koyama Press in 2012. He is the illustrator of the picture books Dear Flyary (2012) from Kids Can Press, and Who’s on First? (2013) from Quirk Books, a comic adaptation of the famous comedy routine by Abbott & Costello. He has been twice nominated for a Doug Wright Award
