Kris Mukai
Kris Mukai is an illustrator and cartoonist living Brooklyn, NY. In 2011 Kris graduated from Pratt Institute with a degree in Communications Design. Her work has been published in The New Yorker, The New York Times, and The Deal magazine. She has contributed comics to many group books and publications including Smoke Signal, Spera, Kuš!, Fake Heads, and Arabesque.
Kris is the Editor-in-Chief of Slow Youth, a loose collective of artists interested in exploring diverse methods of creating art. Her work for Slow Youth includes managing, printing, and publishing the SY art books, along with organizing gallery shows and promotions.
The two most important things to Kris are: Storytelling and Working Together to Make Beautiful Things
