John and Jana started their creative partnership in the 1990s, when they self-published the legendary cocktail comic Very Vicky. Since then, they have teamed-up for a number of children’s books, web comics, mini comics and homemade books, and even gallery shows. Their most recent books are A Rule is To Break: A Child’s Guide to Anarchy from Manic D Press, Happy Punks 1-2-3, a comics-tinged picture book adaptation of their web comic also from Manic D Press, and their graphic novel for the under-5 crowd, A Year With Friends, published by Abrams. Jana is also the illustrator of numerous children’s books, most recently Disney’s Never Girls chapter book series and The Princess and the Pea for Little Golden Books.
