MASSIVE present the TCAF 2014 Queer Mixer!
MASSIVE is a line of gay manga-inspired products and imports brought to you by Anne Ishii and Graham Kolbeins. Together, and with the help of Chip Kidd, they are responsible for last year’s TCAF smash-hit The Passion of Gengoroh Tagame. They are also the team behind Massive: Gay Erotic Manga and the Men Who Make It, coming this Fall from Fantagraphics. These books and apparel highlight the work of Japanese gay erotic artists like Gengoroh Tagame, Jiriaya and Kazuhide Ichikawa.
And this year MASSIVE are bringing Chip Kidd back to TCAF!
Chip Kidd is an author, editor, and book designer who has made quite a lasting impression on the visual landscape of comics. He is well-known for his work with DC Comics (Batman: Death by Design), as well as his cover concepts for people like Osamu Tezuka and Charles Schulz. We were happy to have him last year for The Passion, and we’re happy to have him back for 2014.

Buddies in Bad Times Theatre, 12 Alexander St.
Hosted by Anne Ishii of MASSIVE, the Queer Mixer is a social event for creators and readers of queer comics. This year we want to spotlight the wide-variety of work being done by LGBTQ cartoonists at TCAF. Through a mix of on-stage presentations, interviews, and mingling, the Queer Mixer is a chance to get exposed to current and forthcoming work by some of the best LGBTQ cartoonists in the biz. Elisha Lim! Tony Breed! Northwest Press! So many more! Come on out! It’ll be a g-g-g-grand old time!
