People browse art at a vibrant vendor table in a library. Overlay text: help keep TCAF free for all!

TCAF is proud to champion comics as a vital art form. In this political climate, protecting the arts as a source of revolutionary self-expression has never been more important.

But like so many nonprofit arts organizations in our city, TCAF is experiencing financial challenges. This threatens our ability to cover our operating expenses and financially support our Access TCAF artists.

We’re committed to ensuring TCAF remains open and accessible to all. But to do this, we need your help.

If TCAF has meant something special to you, we ask that you support us with a donation this year. Your gift, of whatever size, will allow us to keep this beloved festival free for all.

If everyone who attends TCAF this year donates just $5, we’ll be in a great place!

TCAF has always been a community-driven festival. That’s why every donor who gives over $5 will be recognized by name on our festival website in gratitude. If you’re capable of giving more, great!

Head to torontocomics.com to make your gift today. From all of us at TCAF, thanks for being a part of this scrappy celebration of the independent arts. We couldn’t do it without each and every one of you.

Libraries & Education Day 2025

LED is a free, all-day slate of programming open to library workers, students, educators, comic scholars, creators and anyone who wants to talk and learn more about comics, graphic novels, and education.

A key focus of LED this year will be graphic medicine, and comics as cultural heritage alongside panels focusing on graphic novel collection development, curation, readers advisory, and advocacy.

Join the Word Balloon Academy

Word Balloon Academy (WBA) is TCAF's in-person full day of FREE professional development, skills-building and career management programming for comics creators.

Kicking off the festival on Friday, June 6, emerging comics creators will delve into the ins and outs of making comics with comic and creative industry veterans. WBA is served up in two development streams: creative and business. Register today!

Volunteer with TCAF

TCAF is run largely by the hard work and enthusiasm of our amazing volunteers. Our team of 100+ volunteers set up the festival, help facilitate programming, direct attendees, and more.

This year’s fest is moving to Toronto Metropolitan University’s Mattamy Athletic Centre (50 Carlton St). So we thought we’d take you on a mini tour of our historic new venue.

Save the date and lace up your skates: #TCAF2025 returns June 7-8, 2025!
